Michael pins Laurie down in an upstairs closet, but she pokes him in the eye with a hanger and escapes. Just as he's about to kill her, Dr. Loomis unloads his pistol into Michael's chest, and he plunges over the railing. When Loomis looks out on the lawn where Michael should be, the Shape is gone.
