Spoiler of the Day: Knowing

 The mysterious code that Nicolas Cage was trying to decipher came from aliens, who whispered it in the ear of a little girl fifty years ago. It contains all of the dates and death counts of Earth's major disasters, including an impending Solar Flare that will wipe out Mercury, Venus, and Earth. As Cage searches for a way to survive, mysterious men follow him around, and are waiting when he locates the final set of coordinates. The strange men are aliens, and they take him, his son, and the little girl's granddaughter away in their spaceship, along with other people chosen arbitrarily to be saved.
