Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (or Seven Brothers Meet Dracula) is exactly what you'd expect from a Shaw Brothers / Hammer Horror co-production. There's a lot of kung fu chop sockey with Hammer gore and a smattering of gratuitous nudity.
The movie itself is concerned with Dracula stealing the identity of a Chinese wizard in order to control the 6 Golden Vampires (one of them is dead by the time he gets there). Most of the time he just hangs out while the golden vampires torture topless Chinese women and drain their blood into a boiling jacuzzi pool. Meanwhile, seven brothers and their sister enlist Van Helsing (Peter Cushing), his son and a Scandinavian Princess to help them find this village and kill the other six Golden Vampires, which they do.
With that synopsis, it shouldn't be hard to figure out what happens, and the kung fu and gore is pretty good. The golden vampires look cool and so do their armies of zombie vampires, who can also kung fu fight. That only makes sense. The final fight with Dracula is, well, underwhelming, but Cushing does what he can to not make it totally lame.
One more night of Summer Fest to go, but first your Cap'n needs some sleep!
